All,

To borrow from the cliche - long time listener, first time caller - I've lurked around this site for almost two years and haven't given anything back, till now. Although I had an aborted attempt at writing something about twelve months ago, I've recently posted The Tomgirl and the Butterfly.

I am really stoked at the positive reviews I've received so far, yet a couple of folk have commented on spelling. I suppose a couple of things should be said:

1) It's always hard to edit your own work, particularly when your reading, re-reading and re-writing some paragraphs over and over. I know what I'm thinking and I'm seeing what I'm thinking but somewhere along the way the language gets butchered and I don't realise it for having stared at it for too long. Short of putting it aside for a week and revisiting it (which would severly delay any updates) I was hoping that someone here with a good gramatical backround and flawless spelling might stick their hand up to review my new chapters.

2) As an Australian our version of the english language tends to deviate a bit from the US version, and I assume that most folk around here are from the US. I still don't get your fascination with z's (its zed, not zee and you never bloody use it unless you're talking about zoo's of zebras ) however I feel that since most US readers may find the use of the Queen's english slightly disconcerting and therefore detract from the story, that someone of US persuasion could suggest changes that may alleviate this problem.

Beyond that I already have a fair inkling of where this story will go, so I'm not after a collaborater as such, just someone who can edit and provide feedback.

If anyone's interested could you please email me at boilsmyblood "at" yahoo "dot" com "dot" au

Thanks,

Azazel
