Today I was reminded in a post of something I once posted when talking about triathlon. Someone once asked me what made me a triathlete. My reply was along the lines that triathlon wasn't something I was trying to do nor was it something I wanted to do it was just something I was.

I read a passage by a sub today that said more or less the same thing about his submissiveness. I to feel the same way about my feelings of sexual dominance. It isnt really something I try to do it is just something I am. I do not, in general, try to annalise it too much I am just happy to acept it.

I am constantly surprised by how it grows and changes. I would aspire to guide my sub towards self improvement as almost every Dom/Domme does in some form or other but we as Dom/dommes should remember that we too must strive for self improvement. Indeed the more I am in this place the more I find that I learn as much if not more from my subs than I teach them. (Perhaps says more about the imperfections of my Dominance LOL)

We must both grow, hopefully together. At times I guess we will outgrow a partner or they outgrow us. The challange for me as a Dom is to realise if this happens and be brave enough to at times let my prescious butterfly escape to grow and bask in the sun. Often the hardest thing to do but often the most satisfying. (sighs)
