Judge jailed for lying to the police

I have never heard of such a thing before! I am sure it could not happen in Denmark..I am baffled that it happened here in UK.

We could sure use some of this kind of justice here in the US. There have been multiple instances here of judges and prosecutors tampering with evidence, fabricating evidence, and lying in court about evidence, without any repercussions at all!

I am told there are sanctions in place, but the trouble is getting people to use them??

Some states do have sanctions, true, but they are seldom employed. Unbelievably, though, there are some states which actually protect prosecutors from being held accountable for their mistakes and misconduct! State bar associations can disbar such attorneys, of course, but they seldom do. Most punishments, when they are levied against prosecutors, amount to little more than "Don't do that again."

This is really good to see, how can anyone expect respect for the law from the people if those charged with enforcing show none themselves?
I didn't choose to be who, or, if you will, what I am, but since it is me I will neither deny nor apologize for it

I am baffled to understand why he has been the only one named and shamed. Lawyers lie, it is part of their job profile. Even if they say they were only going by what their client told them. The police lie, and the higher up the bigger the lie. IE [Hillsbourgh] There is not a politician on the planet that speaks the truth, so why not a Judge?
