So often in our lives we wonder about the "whys", things that happen beyond our control and life takes a turn down a road that we never expected it to travel. But wise men know a secret...that we as the ones who travel these roads often don't understand. All the turns and bumps in the roads we travel are an inevitable part of life. Without these we cannot grow into the people we are meant to be....each turn and bump will form us into who, as we part from life, were inevitably meant to be.

What we don't realize at the time is that we cannot control what destiny has wrought in our lives, but we learn in the end these trials will soften us, make us grow and bestow upon us the virtue of compassion. In our hurt and anger sometimes we don't find any redeeming factors. But as time passes and we mellow, looking back on them we realize how sad and lonely our lives would be if our roads did not cross with another's. How we would never grow, change and experience what others have to offer us to enrich our lives.

So as the time passes, it is then that the clouds lift and all becomes clear... we see that the cloud really did have a silver lining, that now we have wisdom, strength and hope to share with others. That while it may be dark now, seemingly in our minds that the sun will never shine it's warm rays upon our face again.... we find that all storms pass and with it comes a cleansing of the earth. When you finally take the time look around you again everything is sparkling and new.....
