Very imaginative! Great setting. Great plot. Excellent writing. The only reason I gave it a bit less than a perfect score is that it's still just a tease of a story. When more is added, I can review it again, or change my review.
I hope there is some twist and explanation for why a grandparent would tell a granddaughter such a story...what evil lurks in THOSE motives??? (9/10)

- Yes, I know it's a bit of a tease at the moment, sorry. I do have this entire novel plotted out... just haven't worked on it recently. I'm posting another one of my short stories, "Miss Blossom's Ordeal," for your reading pleasure. Hopefully it will tide you over till I can get some more chapters of this work written. Enjoy! ;)

Most excellent start to a promising story from an equally promising author.
Can't say much else, really, except maybe that "promising author " could well have to be replaced with "established author" since that's how well-written "Tell Me a Story" is.
Looking forward to future installments, or other stories from darkness rising.
