John Maddux has the knack for coming up with some nasty male characters. The kind that has a great chance to get beaten-up or even wind-up dead somewhere, after having gone too far or stumbled across a lass with the wrong husband.
Some of his stories are on the one hand utterly unlikable, because of that male character, but are on the other hand so well written that the shittyness of the male doesn't matter too much. Because, let's be honest, if Maddux is able to make me feel that way about some of the characters portrayed, he's a damn good writer, isn't he.

- I do believe this is the most inspiring review or feedback of any form i have recieved since i began my meager attempts at writing.
I have tried to figure out a way to put a new twist on an old genre. Sure the male is a shitheel, but instead of mere brute force i wanted something different.
I thought it was novel to use the female characters own faults be they greed, pride, envy, pick a deadly sin, and use them as the reason for her fall. She is in some way responsible for her own situation and could have decided not to be in this predicament. I wanted her to be a psuedo willing participant.
I have a rather long story i am working on right now and if your interested in previewing it or proofing it i would love the insight.

WOW what a great story the writing the detail!!! Oh yeah, I forgot for a moment i wrote the story and i wasnt one of the seven thousand uncaring readers who had time to read the story but not comment on it. (10/10)
